Meet Beth

Beth has been drawing ever since she can remember.

As a preschooler, Beth would draw on the pages of her storybooks, and even her bookcase when she ran out of paper!!! Throughout her childhood and teenage years, she made up stories and illustrated them constantly. These drawings from her mind helped her cope with her difficult reality (her parents divorced when she was 12). As a sort of therapy, she could go to her imagined world where she created/drew the people and events as she wanted them to be. In high school, Beth attended a community college where she had a wonderful art teacher who inspired her even to this day in her painting (impressionistic style with lots of light and color). Beth entered and won many awards in art shows around the Richmond, VA area in her high school years.

Beth went to Lynchburg College and got a BA degree in Fine Art and Art History. After that she attended The Art Institute of Boston where she took illustration and graphic design courses, so she could get a graphic arts job. Beth married her husband, Glen, and worked at a newspaper, book publisher, mail-order magazine and graphic design company for the next 5-6 years. Ten to twelve years after that, she basically stopped her artwork as she raised her children. In the year 2000, Beth started an art business doing commissioned artwork (paintings and drawings) to supplement the family income. Now Beth has created this website to gain even more exposure and grow her art business. She now lives in Maryland with her husband and two teenage sons.
